I’m Mrs Head. I’m a learning support assistant in Year 1 and a Thrive practitioner. I have worked in different areas of the school, starting as a mid-day supervisor in 2012, progressing on to a learning support assistant in many different year groups. I am currently doing my second year in Year 1 with the lovely Miss Fox.
I have been a Thrive practitioner for a year now and enjoy it so much. I am a friendly, approachable person with a good listening ear. In my Thrive sessions, I use a therapeutic approach to help support children with their emotional and social development using arts and play. This helps the children to express emotions with a better understanding and learn new coping strategies. This will allow them to have a positive approach to their learning. Positive approaches see positive results!
I have two beautiful children, an amazing husband and a very cuddly dog called Maisie. I love spending my free time making special memories with them. One way we do this is to enjoy a beautiful family walk across our magnificent water meadows.
