Religious Education provides a way of looking at the world through religion whilst discussing children’s own views and beliefs to help prepare them for later life.
Religious Education is taught as part of our Humanities curriculum. The children are given the chance to learn about a variety of different religions such as Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Judaism, Buddhism and Sikhism. Common themes that run through religion and the children’s lives such as celebration, special people, tradition, important places and leaders are also explored.
Respect, tolerance and understanding for the beliefs of others is promoted, as well as curiosity, self-reflection and understanding.
