Welcome to Woodhall Primary School
We are committed to promoting ambition and providing opportunities for everyone within a culture that is happy, supportive and safe. All talents are nurtured, all needs are met and all can flourish.
Woodhall Primary School welcomes children from families living close to the school and beyond. It offers large, light classrooms and a warm and inviting learning environment. The school caters for children from 3 to 11 years of age, with up to 60 children in each main school year group. Our Early Years Foundation Stage classrooms for our youngest children are spacious and fun and offer a separate outside area. We are able to accommodate up to 52 Nursery children over morning and afternoon sessions. These children learn and play alongside their peers making the transition to full time school in Reception as smooth as possible. We have a specialist complex needs unit as part of our school (Apples & Pears class). This caters for up to 18 pupils with an EHCP between the ages of 4-11 years.
Our older children have a range of top class facilities including a hall and studio as well as a large area to play and learn outside. Every child in Key Stage 2 has their own iPad and we offer swimming and instrument tuition. Our class names are all woodland trees and our ‘houses’ are named after local halls. The children are awarded achievement points for excellence that build to individual and team awards. We enjoy sharing individual successes in Friday’s Proud Assembly. We are able to offer a Breakfast and an After School Wrap Around Club at very reasonable rates. Every Tuesday, we extend our day until 4pm to offer a range of enrichment activities to all pupils. We value visits out and visitors in and believe these add to an engaging and exciting curriculum. We promote diversity through our the UNICEF Rights Respecting Convention and develop oracy through our work with Voice 21. Wherever possible, we try and draw on local experience and expertise and we are also keen to get involved in local community events and activities.
Choosing the right Primary School for your child is one of the most important decisions you will have to make. At Woodhall, we believe that every child deserves the best possible education. Adults and children work together and create an inclusive environment in which everyone can flourish and achieve their full potential, both academically and socially. By the time the children leave us, we hope they are confident and articulate individuals. They will have acquired the skills necessary to help them move on enthusiastically and successfully to the next stage of their education and to be successful members of their school and wider communities.
Our staff are innovative, research-driven and work as a team to provide a current, forward-facing education for pupils.
We encourage all prospective parents to explore our school website for an insight into daily life at Woodhall. Please do not hesitate to come and visit our wonderful school. We would be delighted to meet you, show you around and answer any questions you may have.
We look forward to hearing from you.
With best wishes from
